Applesauce

I was looking through past exam papers and thought hey I haven't had applesauce in a while. And the Big Kahuna's been complaining bout the apples being soft (we bought a whole big bag). So I figured I'll make some applesauce (makes about 2 cups)...

Ingredients:
4 apples, washed, peeled and cored
1/2 - 1 cup water
2 tbsp sugar (optional)
1/2 tsp cinnamon

1. Sliced apples as you like, if you prefer chunky bits, then leave them chunky.
2. Pour water and place apples in a pan and leave until boiling.

3. Add cinnamon and stir every once in a while until apples are soft. Might take between 20-40 minutes.
4. If using sugar, add and stir until dissolved.

5. Have with pancakes, bread, on its own or added to other recipes :D

I prefer it unsweetened as the apples are usually sweet enough. Makes a healthy snack :) Enjoy making it, ta ra~
