Sony's way of apologising to the millions of customers whose information had been compromised was to give two free games out of five from the PSN store. The Big Kahuna thought he never created an account but then I remembered how could he have added a few of his friends then. So we have downloaded two games for my account; Dead Nation and Infamous. We will also get the other two (Ratchet and Clank and some game I fail to recall; we already have LBP).
I say, if Sony was really sorry, they would pay for the bandwidth used to download the games too (8 gigs in total for both) :P It would have saved me having to stay up until two in the morning to start the download during offpeak hours. And then another hour browsing the internet (to make sure the downloads went well :P). So I ended up going to sleep at three. It's messed up my week's worth of consistent sleep and wake up time. But oh well.
So on Saturday, we tried out Dead Nation in co-op. I am now too used to PC gaming and therefore had plenty of trouble trying to adjust to the controllers again. And it did not help that it has gotten colder these past few days. Try rotating your half-frozen thumb and nimbly flick your other fingers. Not too smooth. As with most male species, the Big Kahuna had no so problem. I think he enjoyed the game quite a bit and I did too.

Obviously, you are the only two people who did not turn into zombies when the whole world did (or so you believe). You have objectives to get to and checkpoints along the way where you get to buy weapons and upgrade your armour. Before the game update, I found that there were very little health packs available but once updated, they dropped more often. Once you die, if your partner manage to get to the next checkpoint, then you'll be revived there. Otherwise, you both will respawn back at the previous checkpoint.
The variety of zombies were vicious and having to mow down mobs of zombies with the SMG was just so fun. Plus, you get to buy grenade and mines to detonate zombies! Oh and you get to see just how many zombies your fellow countrymen have killed; Japan is in the lead of course :P From the numbers, I daresay that there are very few non zombies left in this world, considering most would have been eaten by zombies or have become zombies, yikes!
Hmm I will have to insist the Big Kahuna bring in the heater from the shed to aid my trigger fingers. My gripe with the game is the camera angle. Fair enough, playing co-op might cause arguments as to which angle to use but I'm sure you can flip coins or something. Otherwise, I'm pretty happy with it. If you own a PS3 and have only one account with PSN, I do recommend you get Dead Nation as one of the two games. I give it 8.5/10. I will write about Infamous when I get to play it. Ta ra~
