12 baby potatoes or six regular potatoes, sliced thinly
1 onion, sliced
1 cup pouring cream (thin), more if needed
2 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper
Roast potatoes served in an individual dish as accompaniment
1. Preheat oven to 220 degrees Celsius.
2. Rub olive oil onto roasting pan.
3. If you are particular about presentation, place slices of potatoes in rows to cover the pan, slightly overlapping each other. Otherwise, just throw potatoes and onions in and season to taste; ignore steps 4 and 5.
4. Season with salt and pepper, sprinkle some onions.
5. Repeat 3 and 4.
6. Pour cream to just cover the potatoes (put more in if needed)
7. Bake for one hour to one and a half hours (check after one hour and bake until potatoes are fully cooked).
This is a versatile recipe and therefore you may add your favourite dried herbs, garlic or even cheese (add cheese in the last half hour). Enjoy! Ta ra~
