I tried to open my blog yesterday and typed in the url to go directly to it instead of having to sign in and bla bla. But I could not for the life of me get it right and so I resorted to googling it because I was too stubborn to sign in. Anyway, my my was I surprised to see someone else is using horrendezvous and it kind of made me upset lol. I seriously thought of patenting that username. I have grown quite attached to it and have been using it since I was in high school. How many years now, yikes, ten! At least haha. Wow I am pretty old. Now I am looking at ways to patent it :P
I know, I am not the first person to put together two words to make a 'unique' name. I thought I was pretty clever when I came up with it though. Back when I was a nerdy (still is, albeit watered down) fifteen-year-old. Horrendous Rendezvous! How cool! I thought. I was angsty and full of teenage woe and those two words summed me up perfectly. I kept meeting people I eventually disliked and sometimes hated and I felt like my life was a just a downward spiral. All my poems were morbid and dark. Oh come on, everyone wrote poems when they were fifteen. Haha. The world was against me and everything sucked :P It is quite humorous, and not to mention embarrassing, when I think about what my mind was like. I think I had so many demons to exorcise and the only way to do that was either to run away from home or find the love of my life. Oh and how many hurdles I had to jump through to get rid of those pesky demons. Plenty. But I think I am free of them :) This reminds me of that song by The Wombats: 'If you love me let me go back to that bar in Tokyo (I used to sing it 'if you love me let me go back to my boring Tokyo' - which I still think sounds and means so much cooler than the actual lyrics), where the demons from my past leave me in peace...'
I have never really thought of how 'horrendezvous' came to be, and now I have written about its history and etymology (kinda). I remember one of my friends did a paint graffiti of horrendezvous for me but that is lost among many other files that were wiped off our old HP pc from the dark age. Oh yes, which reminds me, did you hear about the HP tablet debacle? If not, here is the news link to it. Great executive decision-making I say. And what about the celebrity chef who has collaborated with KFC (read here)? I personally love KFC, and since I cannot have it here, I make it a goal to get some whenever I am in Malaysia :) However, for a chef to endorse fast food products, hmm that is a cause for concern, no? Then again, not all chefy foods are healthy anyway :P I am all for tasty food. As for healthy food, I would rather see to it personally. Until next time, ta ra~
